課程概述

In order to accommodate the challenges of climate change, urban climate governance is positioned at the center stage of urban policy nowadays. Cities have been perceived as causes as well as effects of climate change, while provide great potential for solutions to mitigation or/and adaptation. However, many cities try to promote the agenda of nature-based urban solutions to reshape themselves green, inclusive and sustainable cities. This new urbanism focuses on the policy actions of bringing the nature back to city in name of`re-naturing city'in European context particularly. It aims at adopting innovative experimental actions to enhance the multi-functionality and ecosystem services of urban socioecological systems and to achieve the green growth of the society. With this new urbanism, either in the spheres of academic research or of professional practices, not much theoretical formation and empirical practice has been examined in urban contexts.
